Drew Manning:
Yeah.

The morning show, right?
Drew Manning:
Good Morning America, Jay Leno, The View, a bunch of TV shows.
Warren Phillips:
He’s [inaudible 00:00:24] and he’s coming to our event. Obviously, you’re going to speak on the ketogenic diet, Fit to Fat to Fit. There’s probably no influencers in the health space that’s rocking out keto like he is. And so that’s super exciting. So you’re going to get that, but more importantly from my perspective, because I love marketing, digital marketing, you’ve built an amazing brand. You’ve really changed the industry. And you’ve been one of the guys that took that wave of keto. It’s the number one search term on the internet right now, number one. And fortuitous for you. But he made that happen in a lot of ways, put a lot of time, effort, and energy into branding, into Facebook marketing, into social media, to build this amazing brand. And he’s going to share that with you. Do you think that would be helpful? I would say so.
Drew Manning:
Well, thank you. I appreciate that, man.
Warren Phillips:
Let’s talk about some of those tips and tricks and some of those things that you’ll be sharing with our docs at the event.
Drew Manning:
Yeah. First and foremost, I feel very fortunate, very blessed to be in the position I’m in. Right? When I first did Fit to Fat to Fit, I had no idea it would get the attention it did. Right? But looking back on it now, I see why it did. And from a PR perspective, a branding perspective, what it comes down to is the relatability factor. You could be the smartest person in the world, you could have all the knowledge in the world of how to fix people, but unless you know how to relate to your audience, you’re not going to sell anything. You can try really, really hard, but the problem that people struggle with in this industry, in the influencer space, or having social media now, is finding ways to relate to your audience or reach your audience. And they have to know that they can relate to you as well.
And having empathy and that relatability factor is really, really important with your audience because I tell people all the time. No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care. And so if they truly feel that, they’re more willing to trust you to listen to what you have to say and what you have to sell as well. I can’t just go out there selling keto products and selling keto programs unless people trust me first. So a lot of people try and skip that, and just say, “Hey. I’m just going to come up with the most amazing product ever.” That might work for one or two people. But the majority of us need to work on that relatability factor. Being totally honest, I have an amazing team that helps me with my marketing, so sales funnels, email sequences, Facebook ads, those kinds of things, we’ll be speaking about as well, all the tips, tricks and hacks that we use for that.
Warren Phillips:
The really cool thing about you, Drew, is that this didn’t come off as like, hey, I want to blow up and create this huge business.
Drew Manning:
Yeah.
Warren Phillips:
This was before keto was popular. He started from this saying, “Look. I want to relate from the heart.” And you can tell by the tone of your voice and everything else right now that he really did this from the right reason. And we always teach that as, you’ve got to come from a place of a strong why, to quote Simon Sinek, or all the other great … That’s been around a long time, even before Simon was around. But you’re just truly connecting with your heart and coming from that perspective. We do teach the docs in speaking, if they can tell their story, you don’t have to be an eloquent speaker. You have to be a relatable figure that understands and can relate to that customer. And then the world’s yours. It’s just having the confidence and know that you can do it. Getting a team around you is really important as well.
Drew Manning:
Yeah. I tell people, “Your stand has to become your brand.” What do you stand for, your why? Right? And once you know that, and you know who you are, you have that level of self awareness, that relatability factor will come. Right? It comes down to that relatability factor. And once you know what your stand is, then that becomes your brand. And that’s what makes you different than the other thousands of people that are just like you. Well, what makes you different? Right? And it’s your message, your stand. You have to know what that is. You have to know your why. And that’s what’s going to make you different even if your market is saturated. The fitness industry is full of tons of people that have a six pack abs, and muscles, and are preaching this program, that program. But what makes you stand out from them? And we’ll be talking about how to do that, how to build that relatability factor. So I’m looking forward to this event in Nashville, Tennessee March 28th, 29th, 30th. Did I get that right?
